Community Participation Support
At ECD Service, our NDIS community participation program enables people with disability to participate in relevant social, recreational, and cultural activities. We believe that being active in your community isn’t just enjoyable — it’s essential for building confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging. Through this service, we help participants participate in what is important to them in everyday life.
Social Support & Community Engagement
Our team recognizes that disability needs in a social support role are different. For you, that may involve an offer to assist in attendance to a club, participating in a class, or creating new associations. We aim to remove barriers – whether that is things like organising transport, matching you with a friendly staff or supporting you to try new things. We also work with you to develop skills for interacting with others, so your ability to participate goes on the rise over time.
Participate in Activities & Promoting Independence
Play not only improves social and emotional well-being, but it also increases social independence and enhances participation and involvement in everyday activities. We encourage and facilitate participation in community events, group workshops, hobby classes, volunteer opportunities, etc. With the backing of NDIS community engagement, we ensure that supports are in place to ensure that you can engage without being held back or disabled by logistical or accessibility issues.
What You Can Expect from This Service:
- Access to a variety of social and recreational activities based on your interests
- Support workers who assist with planning, transport, and participation
- Skill-building to help with confidence, communication, and social interactions
- Flexibility so you can participate at your own pace
- Inclusive and safe environments where diversity is respected
At ECD Service, we believe in the community’s ability to lead enriched and more connected lives. Our goal is to treat you with respect, safety, and encouragement, so that you can participate, expand, and live with increased independence. Discuss what you would like to accomplish together.
